Viewing — whose lists you're browsing (not who you are)
Ian's and Brittany's lists are locked
The grown-ups' lists need the parent password on this device. Arthur's, Caleb's and Eli's lists are always open — and anyone can still add to a locked list; only viewing is locked.
Price drops
The price checker watches the lists around the clock. When something gets cheaper, it lands here (and as a phone notification, if you've turned those on in Settings).
You are…
Adds are stamped with this name, so everyone can see who found what. It's just a toggle — sign-in (Authentik) arrives with a later phase.
List lock
Ian's and Brittany's lists stay hidden on every device until the parent password is entered there; Arthur's, Caleb's and Eli's lists are always open. Unlocking lasts 30 days on that device, and changing the password re-locks everywhere.
Browser extension
The standard setup for a family computer is the connect code: generate the code for a person here, then load the extension on their computer with Load unpacked and paste the code into its settings — step-by-step instructions →. Generating a new code replaces that person's old one, so any extension still using the old code stops working. The two setup files are the alternative for managed computers (work, school, or domain-joined): they install the extension in Chrome and Edge by browser policy and set the person automatically, no code to paste — but Chrome only lets policies force-install a self-hosted extension on enterprise-managed machines, so on a home PC the policy lands and Chrome declines the install. Downloading a setup file also replaces that person's connect code. How it works →
— this code is shown once. Copy it now and paste it into the extension settings on that computer (right-click the Wish toolbar button → Options).
Until you paste it there, that computer can't add items. Generating a new code for the same person later disconnects the old one.

Agent API
A local agent (or anything with the family agent token) can add items by
POST /api/agent/items with { "link": "…", "person": "eli", "list": "Birthday" } —
leave list out and the item lands on that person's default list.
The token itself lives on the server and isn't shown here.
Install
On a phone, use “Add to Home Screen” from the browser menu — Wish installs like an app. In a desktop Chromium browser, use the install icon in the address bar.
